30 years of happy real life true love

My parents renewed their vows in a really sweet way this last sunday.
There were such precious moments but I didn't take many pictures,
because I just wanted to enjoy it, and let myself just.cry.and.laugh.

A couple of my siblings and I got to give quick little speeches
to honor them, and speak out loud the truth about how their
marriage example has shaped our lives.
Because, Really.
I've always believed in love because of them.

so.
Congratulations mom and dad.
We all know - that the best is yet to come.

roho at the green note festival

Shane played an acoustic set the other night.
at a happy hippie outdoor festival -
where there were lots of bearded dads,
and children with sticky faces from organic fruit drinks,
and plaid wearing longboarders.
It was a good end to a full day -
that absolutely included a tandem bike excursion,
and frozen yogurt, and bananagrams
I'm obsessed with that bananagrams game.
They sounded so pretty - it's too bad I didn't take a video to share.
BUT wait! you could listen to this:

I love laid back holidays.
families + fireworks + summer + hot dogs go really well together.

birthday with the family

OH this family. They know how to love.
I was blessed, for real. what a party scene.
Shane came. The smiths came. The warrens hosted.
gifts upon gifts, tastes, more speeches-that made me cry,
games, sparklers, and a heavy dose of joy.
memorable for sure.
I was happy on my happy birthday.

a perfect day.

Shane took me to the ocean on my 23rd birthday, a couple days ago
A very happy surprise. I got spoiled. THE WHOLE day.
It was Kayla catered. And there was
sunshine, salty hair, a mini road trip,
tacos, a moped cruise, sweet speeches,
beach strolls, kite flying,
a jetty walk, fireworks,
and laughing so hard I fell down.
twice.
