root of the root

DAY trips rock my socks.
Starting in the early A.M.,
we cruised over to Toppenish on the Yakama Indian reservation-
so we could visit the yakama nation museum

fierce? :)

It was so fun and fascinating, but we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the museum,
of course. Just in the gift shop.

Our family comes from the Yakama tribe, so it was wonderful that most of us could go together.

Afterward we strolled the streets of Leavenworth. which is a mock Bavarian city.

German butts.
On the way home we stopped at an orchard, and at our Dad's favorite candy store.

It was straight up: a really good time.

  1. Next time you are going to Leavenworth, drop by our site first to see what is happening in town. We've built a site with a whimsical tone from a tourist's point of view. We have a blog of our travels and things we've found there that we like.
