my new favorite.

-orange raisin scones-
                                               2 cups All-Purpose Flour
                                               1/2 cup granulated sugar, divided
                                               2 T Orange Zest
                                               1 T Baking Powder
                                               1/2 tsp. salt
                                               1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, chilled
                                               1/2 cup Raisins
                                               1/3 cup sour cream
                                               1 egg
                                               cinnamon

Preheat oven to 450. Spray baking sheet with pan coating. Whisk flour, 1/3 cup of the sugar, orange zest, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Add butter and cut into flour mixture with a pastry blender, or blend in a food processor using only 10 second pulses. Mixture should resemble corn meal. Add Raisins.

Whisk sour cream and egg together in small bowl. Add to flour mixture and toss till moist clumps form. Pour flour mixture onto a lightly floured surface and gently kneed just until dough comes together. Divide dough in half; form each into a 4" round. Sprinkle with cinnamon and remaining sugar.

Gently press sugar into the dough so that it sticks. Cut each round into 8 equal wedges and transfer to baking sheet. bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and serve.
Makes 16.

Bam. easy peas-y. You just baked like your grandma.
