July 30th, 1963

Got to celebrate mom yesterday.
It was all a surprise.
We gave her pretty little memo type cards before each activity.
The theme was pretty, because she's pretty.
Here is the day in photos.
Happy birthday, dear mama.
Happy birthday, to you.

hi there

Ate this for breakfast...

I love this website.

today I wish...

Today I wish it was thanksgiving.
because then my family would be in one spot, and I would have a nephew.
Also because then I could eat CRANBERRY SAUCE and turkey and sweet potato friiiiies.
and broccoli. and cider.
and I would be in a very delightful space.

but instead, I'll curb that craving with this subway turkey sandwich I'm eating.

on that thanksgiving note...I shall share with you this video.

Sarah showed me this mini clip series of "kids reenact" on babelgum last night. Really funny. Watch them all.

made today.

Painted outside today.

I didn't realize how much I like to paint outside until this morning. Sooo that'll be a new permanent activity. You should try it sometime.
Church was outside, and I started this there, but didn't feel done with it until I had some backyard-kayla-ipod-time at home.

Anyway.

The pocket protector with the lizard gecko creature-is my paint jumpsuit.
so. yep. I have a painter jumpsuit.
There ya go.

nirvana and popsicles

Sister and I hit up one of our favorite charming areas nearby, just because we like charm, I guess.
& I decided to dress like Nirvana, just because I felt like it.
There are several antique malls we like to peruse, and we came across this set of embroidered handkerchiefs..that really speak for themselves.
So. yep. that's hilarious and weird
We also ate yummy food at a cafe, that I might show you later. I ate a thai tuna sandwhich, and sarah ate a bufffffffalo burger.
Afterward we came home and had popsicles with Dan Dan and made jokes.

garlic crush

Sarah and I went to Garlic Crush. We ate some baba ghannouj, some stuffed grape leaves, a gyro plate with lamb & such, and Shawarma plate.
It was awesome.
I also want to share with you how sometimes a dude just needs to go jogging.
and sometimes you need to just wear an alarmingly fleshly colored shirt.
because sometimes you just want people to remark about it and maybe have to glance again.
you might be thinking to yourself "say. is that man wearing a shirt. because it's really unclear."

I dunno. It's still up in the air.
